Janel has lived across the country, from New England to the Pacific Northwest and now sunny New Mexico. She studied psychology, photography, and entrepreneurship, guided by her curiosity about people, creativity, and what it takes to bring ideas to life.

Her career blends artistry and organization, with experience in photography, videography, blogging, gluten-free baking, and birth support as a doula. After decades in administrative and systems roles, Janel now brings her skills and heart for mission-driven work to Girls Inc. as a Donor Data and Philanthropy Associate.

In her free time, she enjoys speculative fiction, exploring Human Design, and the peace that comes from a good decluttering session. She bakes as an act of love, delights in cat snuggles, and cherishes coastal adventures and ocean swims with her wife, Leslie.
